Once, a very poor man came to Buddha. He asked: - Why am I so poor?

Once, a very poor man came to Buddha. He asked:
- Why am I so poor?

Buddha answered:
- You are poor because you don’t practice generosity. You don’t practice charity.

- But how can I practice charity if I don’t have anything to give?

- You have five treasures that you can share with others.

First, you have your face. You can share your smiles with others, but you don’t do that.

Second, you have your eyes. You can look at others with eyes full of love and care, but you don’t do that.

Third, you have your mouth. With this mouth you can say nice things to others, but you don’t do that.

Then, you have a heart. With your loving heart you can wish happiness to others, but you don’t do that.

Last treasure that you possess is your body. With this body you can do many good things to others, but you don’t even do that. That is why you are poor.

peace of mind

Once Buddha was walking from city to city with some of his followers. It was in the early days. When they were traveling, they passed a lake, they stopped there and Buddha told one of his disciples, "I am thirsty. I get some water from that lake there."

The disciple went up to the lake when he arrived on it, he saw that some people were washing clothes in the water, and at the same time, a bullock cart was starting to cross the banks of the lake. As a result, the water was very dirty, it was very turbine.

The disciple thought, "How can I give this dirty water to drink Buddha?"Then he came back and told Buddha, "There is so much water in the water. I do not think it is suitable for drinking."

After about half an hour, Buddha then asked the same disciple to return to the lake and gave him some water to drink. The disciples went back to the obedient lake this time they found that there was absolutely clear water in this lake. Mud was settled down and it was advisable to be above water. So he collected some water in a vessel and brought it to Buddha.

Buddha looked at the water, and then he looked at the disciple and said, "Look, what you have done to clean the water ... let it go ... and the soil settled in itself - and you got clean water. The mind is the same, when it gets bothered, just let it happen Let it take a little longer It will automatically settle for you, it does not have to be put in any effort to calm it. "

MONEY is MONEY but LOVE is DIVINE| Beautiful Love Story

Once upon a time, there was once a guy who was very much in love with a girl. This romantic guy folded 1000 pieces of paper cranes as a gift to his girl. Although, at that time he was just a small executive in his company, his future does not seemed too bright, they were very happy together. Until one day, his girl told him she was going to Paris and will never come back. She also told him that she cannot visualize any future for the both of them, so let’s go their own ways there and then… heartbroken, the guy agreed.

When he regained his confidence, he worked hard day and night, slogging his body and mind just to make something out of himself. Finally with all these hard work and with the help of friends, this guy had set up his own company…
“You never fail until you stop trying.” he always told himself. “I must make it in life!”

One rainy day, while this guy was driving, he saw an elderly couple sharing an umbrella in the rain walking to some destination. Even with the umbrella, they were still drenched. It did not take him long to realize those were his ex-girlfriend’s parents. With a heart in getting back at them, he drove slowly beside the couple, wanting them to spot him in his luxury sedan. He wanted them to know that he was not the same anymore, he had his own company, car, condo, etc. He had made it in life!

Before the guy can realize, the couple was walking towards a cemetery ,and he got out of his car and followed them… and he saw his ex-girlfriend, a photograph of her smiling sweetly as ever at him from her tombstone… and he saw his precious paper cranes in a bottle placed beside her tomb. Her parents saw him. He walked over and asked them why this had happened. They explained, she did not leave for France at all. She was stricken ill with cancer. In her heart, she had believed that he will make it someday, but she did not want her illness to be his obstacle … therefore she had chosen to leave him.

Take this moment to show “love” to all that are close to us. ♥

She had wanted her parents to put his paper cranes beside her, because, if the day comes when fate brings him to her again he can take some of those back with him. The guy just wept …the worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them but knowing you can’t have them and will never see them again.

The End.”
A tragic story that perhaps happens only in the movies. At the end of the day, MONEY is MONEY but LOVE is DIVINE.

In our quest for our material wealth, take time to make time for our loved ones. There will be a time when we have only memories to cling to.

Take this moment to show “love” to all that are close to us. ♥

God, is very Kind | short story

One day, a person lost his one leg. He repeatedly thanked God : “O God ! You’re very merciful and kind .” One man asked  him , “How can God be kind and merciful when he has taken your leg? ” His answer was plain , “He has power and could have taken both my legs but he is kind and merciful, so he has taken only one .”

After a few years , he lost the other leg too . This time also he thanked God for his mercy and kindness . The man asked him again , “ How can God be merciful and kind when he has taken both your legs? ” His reply was the same, “ God is powerful. He could have taken my hands too but he has mercy and kindness , so he took only my legs . ”

It so happened that in another accident he lost both the hands . Again he thanked God for being kind and merciful . He was again asked , “How can God be merciful and kind when he has taken both your legs and both your hands? Now, you can do nothing. ” He was un-shattered . His reply was the same , “God is powerful. He could have taken my life but because he is kind and merciful, so he took only my hands.” It’s an example of extreme faith. Hindus have faith like this.

Moral- With kindness of God, one gets divinity.

Fools can neither save themselves nor can serve their master.

Once a man was coming back home after a long time and was happy to see his favorite servant at the station.

“Is it all right at home?” the man asked the servant.

“Yes, Master! Everything is all right except your pet dog that died a fortnight ago,” replied the servant.

“Ah! But it was nice and healthy . How did he die?”

“The bone of your strong horse got struck in its mouth.”

“How can it get the bone of my horse. Has the horse died?”

“Yes, my master! The horse could not get enough to eat . There was no fodder left.”

“What happened to fodder?”

“It was utilized when your mother was put to pyre.”

“What do you mean? Ah! Has my mother died? How did she die?”

“She could not tolerate the death of her only grandson.”

“Ah! Is my son dead?”
“Yes, he died when your house collapsed.”

“Has my house collapsed?”

“Yes, when your wife tried to commit suicide by spraying petrol, the house caught fire and was gutted. Your son tried valiantly to save your wife but the roof fell on him.”

“Ah! I’m completely ruined. I have lost everyone. And yet, you say that everything is all right.

“Everything else is all right. I mean …. I’m sorry …. Moreover, I was advised to  break the news slowly. They thought there is the danger of losing the master too.”

The master fell down.😕

I Opt for the Best | STORIES OF FRIENDSHIPs AND LOVE

A man went to a fruit shop. He inspected different fruits and asked for their price. He bought one kilogram of the costliest grapes. When he started moving away the shopkeeper asked for the price. He replied that he had no money. The shopkeeper reduced the price and asked him to pay. He gave the same answer. The shopkeeper thrice reduced the price but the man gave the same reply that he had no money. At last the angry shopkeeper asked, “If you have no money then why did you take the costliest grapes.”

The man raised his head and said, “Well gentleman, when there is the question of quality I opt for the best.” He promised to pay the next month and returned.

The next morning the same man went to the best physician.He was examined there. When he started moving away the doctor asked for the fee. The man replied that he had no money. The humble doctor reduced his fee by half and asked him to pay. With he add own the man said that he had no money. The doctor was puzzled. He asked, “If you have no money then why did you come to the best and costliest doctor of the town?”

The man proudly raised his head and said, “Well gentle man, when there is the question of quality I opt for the best.” He promised to pay the next month and moved away.

Planting Fruit Trees for Grand children | save The Trees

Once, a king was riding a horse. On the outskirt of a village he saw a very old man planting a mango sapling. He wondered, ‘What is the use of planting the sapling when the old man can survive only for a couple of years?’

His curiosity grew. He went to the man and asked him the question that was giving him trouble. He asked: “Do you think you will live long enough to eat the fruits of this sapling when it grows into a tree?”

“Oh! No. I don’t expect to live so long. I’m a doddering old man and can die any day.” The answer of the old man was plain enough.
“Then why are you planting the sapling which will not give benefit to you?” asked the king.

The old man came with a simple answer: “I ate the fruits of the trees that my grandfather planted. I am planting this sapling so that my grandchildren may eat fruits.”

The king appreciated the old man and rode away with the determination to get many fruit trees planted.

Moral

It is easy to say but difficult to do | Who Will Bell the Cat?😆

In a grain shop there was a group of rats. But there was a big and strong cat in the area. The cat would often visit the shop and catch and eat some mice for breakfast and others for lunch or dinner. The rats lived in fear. They were afraid of the cat . They would come out cautiously but the cat would come silently and pick one up easily.

One day, the rats called a meeting .All the rats participated. They declared the cat to be a villain and the greatest danger. They wanted to get rid of the rat. They thought that if they get timely warning then they could safely return to the holes .They could not think of a way out.  At last, a young and healthy rat climbed a sack and said, “We must procure a bell and a string. We can tie the bell in the neck of the cat. Then whenever the cat would come towards us the bell would ring and we would be easily alerted.”

It was a great idea. Other rats clapped at the suggestion and we are very proud of the young rat for he had come up with a great idea .When the rats were happy and realized that they could live freely, an old rat clearing his voice said loudly ,“It’s all right to bell the cat but tell me who would bell the cat?”  There was no answer.😕😅

Vanity leads to fall | Tortoise & swan

Once there was a tortoise in a big pond. Many swans also lived in the pond. The tortoise and the swans were good friends. The tortoise liked the flight of the swans. He wished to go up in the air and see the world, the pond and the trees around it from above. But he had no way out.

One day the tortoise said to the swans that he had an idea to see the world from above. He would catch the middle of a strong stick and they would grab both the sides of the stick and fly into the air. The swans agreed. Thus the tortoise was flying in the air.

The tortoise was delighted to be high on the hills and was enjoying the flight. Then a crow came flying from the other direction and said to the tortoise, “Are you the king to fly like that?” The tortoise became proud and tried to answer the crow, “Yes, I am.” But the moment he opened his mouth, he fell on the rocks and turned into pieces.

Be happy and Enjoy Every moments of Your Life | STORIES OF FRIENDSHIPs AND LOVE

You do not need to wait for tomorrow to be happy and enjoy your life. You don’t even need to be more rich, more powerful to enjoy life. LIFE is at this moment, enjoy it fully.

Be happy and Enjoy Every moments of Your Life

Once a fisherman was sitting near seashore, under the shadow of a tree without working.

Suddenly a rich businessman passing by approached him and inquired as to why he was sitting under a tree and not working. To this the poor fisherman replied that he had caught enough fishes for the day.

Hearing this the rich man got angry and said: Why don’t you catch more fishes instead of sitting in shadow wasting your time?

Fisherman asked: What would I do by catching more fishes?

Businessman: You could catch more fishes, sell them and earn more money, and buy a bigger boat.

Fisherman: What would I do then?

Businessman: You could go fishing in deep waters and catch even more fishes and earn even more money.

Fisherman: What would I do then?

Businessman: You could buy many boats and employ many people to work for you and earn even more money.

Fisherman: What would I do then?

Businessman: You could become a rich businessman like me.

Fisherman: What would I do then?

Businessman: You could then enjoy your life peacefully.

Fisherman: What do you think I’m doing right now?

Moral:  some great men have said “My riches consist not in extent of my possessions but in the fewness of my wants”
